9T7’s 'Modern Vintage' Offers a Glimpse Into the Radiant Debut EP 'On Intuition'

Amsterdam-based producer and multi-instrumentalist 9T7 has unveiled his latest single, “Modern Vintage,” a radiant prelude to his highly anticipated debut EP On Intuition, set for release on October 3rd via Aviary Bridge Records. Known for his jazz-influenced electronica, 9T7 continues to solidify his place as a rising star in the electronic music scene with this chilled yet deeply textured track.

“Modern Vintage” is a perfect encapsulation of 9T7’s distinctive sound, merging contemporary electronic beats with classic jazz influences. The track, produced by the talented Tim van Aarst, weaves together swelling synths, a swinging beat, and a dynamic bassline to create a soundscape that is both vibrant and melancholic. What sets “Modern Vintage” apart is its ability to blend organic textures with atmospheric lo-fi synths, a nod to the early work of Mura Masa while also drawing from the rich jazz traditions of both the Dutch and UK scenes.

The track’s progression is a journey in itself. Beginning with a foundation of smooth, swelling synths and a rhythmic beat, “Modern Vintage” gradually introduces subtle shoegaze-influenced guitar lines and bubbling arpeggiators. These elements float in and out of the mix, adding layers of depth and creating an ethereal aura that envelops the listener. It’s a track that feels both intimate and expansive, inviting listeners to lose themselves in its warm, melancholic tones.

With millions of streams to his name and a growing reputation in the industry, 9T7 is on the cusp of something big. On Intuition marks a significant milestone in his career, capturing his evolution from a booking agent and DJ to one of the Netherlands’ most promising new producers. If “Modern Vintage” is any indication, the EP is set to be a compelling and deeply resonant work that will further establish 9T7 as a force to be reckoned with in the world of electronic music.
