I have this memory of being born, it’s all dark and warm and cozy, and suddenly there are all these crazy bright lights and loud strange noises, and it feels so intense that I just want to go back to the warm, dark, safe place."
She adds, "My birth into the world was induced, and I was two weeks late, so I feel that gives some credibility to how much I didn’t want to come out, lol. Often when I’m sad, I get this really heavy feeling of not wanting to be here, so I wanted to put this song out there to bring comfort to people who’ve felt the same. There’s nothing like listening to a song about something relatable and feeling seen and heard. Writing this song was so therapeutic for me to be able to express these emotions, and I hope it brings comfort to people when they’re feeling alone, fragile, sad, or even a little nostalgic.”
