The former EMI artist, whose iconic sound defined a generation, has poured her heart into this 16-track masterpiece. Featuring fresh recordings of her classics, two inspired covers—ABBA’s ‘The Winner Takes It All’ and Kate Bush’s ‘Wuthering Heights’—and a host of brand-new compositions, Nova proves that her signature blend of vintage electro and high-energy techno is as compelling as ever.

Nova’s rich career history is as vibrant as her music. Starting as a songwriter for Jesse Green in the mid-70s, she quickly climbed the charts before joining Toto Coelo, the group behind the international hit ‘I Eat Cannibals’. Her solo journey with EMI established her as a pioneer in the underground disco scene, captivating audiences with performances on ‘Top of the Pops’ and in Italian television series. Her influence even extended behind the scenes, writing for legends like AC/DC and Cleo Laine.

The resurgence of interest in 80’s electro, coupled with Nova’s loyal internet fanbase, has reignited her popularity. In a recent BBC Radio 6 interview, Siouxsie Sioux hailed Nova as an influence, recalling her electrifying performance at London’s Heaven nightclub. This cultural renaissance has set the stage for, Tour De Force, an album that honors her legacy while embracing forward-looking energy.

Every track on, Tour De Force, is a testament to Nova’s creative evolution. Highlights include the haunting ‘Lifeline’, the poignant ‘You Come And You Go’, and the electrifying ‘The Force Megamix’. The album’s production, handled masterfully by Kingbones, retains the spirit of 80’s European dance music while integrating cutting-edge techno. Nova’s anti-war anthem ‘Lily’ and dystopian-themed ‘Copy’ showcase her lyrical depth, ensuring this album resonates emotionally as well as sonically.

Nancy Nova is gearing up to bring, Tour De Force, to life on stage next summer, with performances planned at major festivals. “This album is a love letter to my fans—old and new,” she shared.
