Split Second Offers Up Poetic Indie Pop Triumph In 'Ozymandias'

Worcestershire-based indie pop sensation Split Second returns with a bold and vibrant new single, "Ozymandias", a track that seamlessly blends quirky energy with deep literary inspiration. Drawing from Percy Bysshe Shelley’s classic poem about the downfall of a once-great king, the band infuses this timeless theme with their own experiences, creating a powerful narrative about the fleeting nature of power and the fragility of human endeavours.

Produced by Gavin Monaghan at Magic Garden Studio, "Ozymandias" is available in two versions: a full-length track and a shorter radio edit, both showcasing the band’s impressive musical growth. The song is not only a creative exploration of literary themes but also an infectious indie pop anthem, filled with punchy rhythms, catchy hooks, and intricate storytelling.

"Ozymandias" is the lead single from their highly anticipated debut EP, due later this year, with their first full-length album Love Life Cycle set to drop in 2025. With their ever-growing fanbase and a unique sound that continues to evolve, Split Second proves they are a force to be reckoned with in the indie pop world, blending depth, creativity, and undeniable talent into each new release.
